Who is Coaching?

Dakota has twenty-five years of Montessori and traditional elementary and adolescent classroom experience in public, private, and charter schools.  She is an expert in classroom design, management, student engagement, as well as planning, instructing, and assessing. Her years in public schools allow her to connect state standards to Montessori pedagogy, and her commitment to ABAR and culturally relevant teaching practices connect her to others in a holistic way.

She is National Board Certified, has a Masters in Curriculum and Design, and is AMI Elementary certified. She completed the Montessori Coaches Training with NCMPS in 2020.

She is also a trained leader of SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) and has facilitated conversational communities to drive personal, organizational, and societal change toward social justice. 

Dakota has worked for National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector, The Arete Montessori Training Center, The Chicago Montessori Residency Training Center, The Montessori Institute, and Instituto Montessori de Mexico, and is a current faculty member at the AMS Training Center, Montessori Educational Center of the Rockies (MECR). 

She has taught and coached in Spanish.
